GUNPOWDER: Botanical Name: Camellia sinensis | Origin: China | Plant Part: Leaves | Cut Size: rolled leaf

100% Certified Organic: A classic green tea from the Zhejiang province, China. It is among the most popular green tea specialties. As the name implies, Gunpowder tea is made up of leaves hand-rolled into tiny pellets. A full-bodied smooth tasting cup with a bold & slightly smoky flavour, which also lends to its name. Higher in caffeine than most other green teas it is famous for the energizing properties it contains and is often used by athletes to improve endurance.

Health Benefits: You should drink gunpowder green tea if you suffer from obesity, diabetes, fatigue, chronic disease, indigestion, cold, flu, infection, coronary heart disease, and high cholesterol.

Serving Suggestions: Great as part of a delicious morning breakfast or an afternoon tea treat. For the best results always use fresh, filtered water. Add 1 heaped teaspoon per 200 ml. Brewing temperature should be below boiling point, around 80ºC. (Use of boiling water will result in bitterness) Brew 1-2 minutes. Enjoy without milk or sugar.

Taste: Refreshing with a hint of smokiness
