Liquorice Root: Botanical Name: Glycyrrhiza glabra | Country of Origin: Spain | Plant Part: Root

100% Certified Organic. A very popular herbal tea with an impressive list of health benefits. Liquorice root is one of the most widely used herbs today. Used in traditional herbal medicine to help prevent many common health issues. An astonishing number of Chinese herbal formulas (over 5000) use liquorice root to sweeten teas (contains up to 14% naturally occurring sugars) and ‘harmonize’ contrasting herbs. Native to southeast Europe and southwest Asia.

Caffeine Level: Naturally caffeine free.

Taste:  It has an invigorating, naturally sweet, full bodied flavour that you will enjoy. Sweet character with light medicinal notes and anise-like finish. Excellent blended with peppermint or chamomile.

Benefits: Medicinal properties include anti-inflammatory, antiallergenic, anti-arthritic and antipyretic. It is also a diuretic and a mild expectorant.

How to enjoy: Add 1 tsp per 200ml of water, brew with boiling water for 3-5 or more minutes.

Kombucha: There are many advantages to using certified organic herbs and tisanes in the finished kombucha tea and fermenting it further with flavours good for your health. A second fermentation period allows the flavours to meld and achieve a deeper and more complex profile, which increases the health benefits.

Kombucha Flavouring: add 1 tablespoon (or blend with other herbs) + 1 tsp sugar to your kombucha tea in a 750ml flip-top bottle or another air-tight container. Leave to ferment for 4-6 days at room temperature. Refrigerate. Enjoy!

Herbs for Aromatherapy: The art of aromatherapy harnesses the beneficial properties of essential oils - for therapeutic use for body, mind and soul. Commonly, essential oils are ingested by breathing in the evaporating vapour, or through the skin directly into the blood stream by bathing, aromatherapy massage, or direct application to the skin.

General: We recommend you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications.
