ROSEMARY: Botanical Name: Rosmarinus officinalis | Organic Status: Organically Grown - Not Certified | Country of Origin: Australia | Plant Part: Leaves

Organic Rosemary Herbal Tea: Grown in Australia, this Rosemary is grown using organic methods (although not certified organic).

Rosemary is antispasmodic, anti-fungal, antioxidant, anti-depressant and antiseptic. Its also an expectorant, decongestant, carminative, diuretic and both a circulatory and digestive tonic.

The Rosemary Tea (Rosmarinus officinalis) has, throughout history, been referred to as a 'memory booster'. Studies show this herb helps prevent the breakdown of acetylcholine, which plays a role in the brain within the areas of reasoning and memory. Increased blood flow to the brain has also been discovered as a result of using this herb.

Common medicinal uses include: stimulates blood flow, improves memory and concentration, eases anxiety, tension and depression, enhances nutrient absorption, stimulates hair growth, resists infections, eases inflammation, improves breathing.

Precautions: Possible side effects of excessive doses include insomnia, headache, could affect blood sugar levels. Not to be taken during pregnancy.

Serving Suggestions: Add one teaspoon per cup of boiling water and brew for 3-5mins or longer if desired.

Kombucha: There are many advantages to using organic herbs and tisanes in the finished kombucha tea and fermenting it further with flavours good for your health. A second fermentation period allows the flavours to meld and achieve a deeper and more complex profile, which increases the health benefits.

Kombucha Flavouring: add 1 tablespoon + 1 tsp sugar to your kombucha tea in a 750ml flip-top bottle or another air-tight container. Leave to ferment for 4-6 days at room temperature. Refrigerate. Enjoy!

Shipping: Our Organic Teas & Herbs are delivered in sealed, air-tight pouches.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC:- We supply Certified Organic products for those seeking alternative remedies and therapies for health, healing and general well-being. Certified Organic refers to plants grown without the use of synthetic or toxic substances for a three-year minimum period. Artificial colours or fragrances cannot have been added. If we look at the term "certified organic" on a label, we know it to mean grown and cultivated without the use of chemicals. The term “Certified Organic” is overseen by several internationally recognised bodies. ~Organic (non-certified) means a compound that contains a carbon atom. Carbon is found in anything that has ever lived. This means that anyone can call his or her product “organic” without legal consequence because as yet there are no governing authorities monitoring companies who abuse this terminology of organic~ Our supplier undergoes a strict auditing process annually to ensure they comply with the rigorous standards involved in being Certified Organic. ACO Certificate No: 274P. WILD CRAFTED:- Before there was “Certified Organic”, herbs and plants that were gathered free of herbicides, pesticides, detergents and other harmful chemicals were referred to as “Wild Crafted”. Wild Crafted botanicals are not farmed or sprayed with any kind of pesticide. They are wild, native and organic by their own nature and retain the positive attributes of plants grown in their normal habitat. Certified Organic herbs and plants are usually grown under ideal conditions on a farm and produced according to standards which translate into no harmful pesticides, fertilisers or GMO plants (genetically modified organisms) to enhance their growth. Yes they are healthy, but because they are grown under the best conditions and not necessarily in their natural habitat, they may not retain all the attributes of their wild crafted counterpart. Both Wild Crafted and Certified Organic products are free of harmful chemical additives and are much better and safer than their commercial grade counterparts. However, one isn’t necessarily better than the other.
