SIBERIAN GINSENG: Botanical Name: Eleutherococus senticosus | Organic Status: Certified Organic | Country of Origin: China | Plant Part: Root

Certified Organic Siberian Ginseng Herbal Tea: Siberian ginseng helps to normalise the way in which the body responds to stress and acts to regulate the manufacture and secretion of the adrenal hormones. By far the biggest single use of Siberian ginseng is its ability to increase energy and enhance mental performance.

Siberian Ginseng is rumoured to be the first ever herb to be termed an “adaptogen". In his “Great Catalogue of Medicinal Herbs” Li Shih Chen called Siberian Ginseng a superior herb. “Its action is to invigorate physical energy, regulate vigour, strengthen the skeleton and tendons, and increase one’s ambition.” Siberian ginseng root is an amazing gift from nature that has been used for centuries in traditional herbal medicine for it's abundance of health promoting properties

Health benefits: Prevent colds and flu, increase energy, longevity, and vitality.

Serving Suggestions: Use 1 teaspoon of ginseng per cup, brew for 3-5 minutes with water just of the boil. Brew longer for a bolder taste. Add additional hot water for a total of two to three cups.

Precautions: Possible side effects of excessive doses may include headache, agitation, upset stomach, menstrual problems, breast pain, and dizziness. Taken in excess, an increase or decrease in blood pressure may also occur. Siberian ginseng may cause drowsiness, nervousness, or mood changes.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC:- We supply Certified Organic products for those seeking alternative remedies and therapies for health, healing and general well-being. Certified Organic refers to plants grown without the use of synthetic or toxic substances for a three-year minimum period. Artificial colours or fragrances cannot have been added. If we look at the term "certified organic" on a label, we know it to mean grown and cultivated without the use of chemicals. The term “Certified Organic” is overseen by several internationally recognised bodies. ~Organic (non-certified) means a compound that contains a carbon atom. Carbon is found in anything that has ever lived. This means that anyone can call his or her product “organic” without legal consequence because as yet there are no governing authorities monitoring companies who abuse this terminology of organic~ Our supplier undergoes a strict auditing process annually to ensure they comply with the rigorous standards involved in being Certified Organic. ACO Certificate No: 274P. WILD CRAFTED:- Before there was “Certified Organic”, herbs and plants that were gathered free of herbicides, pesticides, detergents and other harmful chemicals were referred to as “Wild Crafted”. Wild Crafted botanicals are not farmed or sprayed with any kind of pesticide. They are wild, native and organic by their own nature and retain the positive attributes of plants grown in their normal habitat. Certified Organic herbs and plants are usually grown under ideal conditions on a farm and produced according to standards which translate into no harmful pesticides, fertilisers or GMO plants (genetically modified organisms) to enhance their growth. Yes they are healthy, but because they are grown under the best conditions and not necessarily in their natural habitat, they may not retain all the attributes of their wild crafted counterpart. Both Wild Crafted and Certified Organic products are free of harmful chemical additives and are much better and safer than their commercial grade counterparts. However, one isn’t necessarily better than the other.
